How an author can use Pinterest

editing_and_proofreading_blog_1023My friend says that Pinterest is the best waste of time ever invented. We used to keep scrap books of interesting ideas. Now we can do the same thing, but online, and using ideas that other people have found as well. There is less clutter, and more scope. We spend ages planning the quilts we will never get round to making.

But there are constructive ways to use Pinterest. If you are an author, you can use it for a variety of different collections. Here are some ideas for boards for an author:

  1. Locations and settings for your story. Cities, landscapes, houses…
  2. Possible props, such as cars, gadgets…
  3. Ideas for book art.
  4. A collection of readers art.

Remember that your boards can be public or private, so you can keep your plans to yourself until you are ready top share.
