Improve your writing by understanding reading

editing_and_proofreading_blog_756Some people love to write.  For them, the whole point of the process is to express themselves. Writing can be a very therapeutic way to clear your mind, or think through a problem.

If you want to get a message across to your audience, it is vital to remember that this isn’t about you. Your audience has other priorities. If they are reading to gain information, they want to get it as soon as possible and move on to another tasks. If they are reading for fun, they don’t want to put in any hard work.

So whatever you write needs to be easy to read.
