Using hyphens in justified type

Editing_and_Proofreading Blog_360When text is fully justified, so both side edges are straight, hyphens can help to make the piece easier to read and look more elegant. Page layout software usually gives a lot of control over hyphenation. This is one of the reasons this sort of software is useful after the word processing stage.
