The distribution of letters

Editing_and_proofreading_blog_222Ever wondered how the letters are distributed within words? Have a look at these graphs, which show letter frequency at the beginning, middle & end of words. In this analysis, letters in more frequently used words have more weight. The colour indicates the frequency of the letter.

Fascinating stuff, but I’m not sure where it gets us.

  1. It might not be a really helpful chart, but I think it’s pretty fascinating…both the colors and the graph images…I just starred at it for a few minutes rather memorized.
